Field Technician I

The Field Technician I will independently perform advanced repairs on material handling equipment to the customer’s satisfaction while in the field. The position requires a high school education or GED, six years of experience with at least two years of experience on Hyster, Yale, Clark or other similar equipment, and proficiency in at least two mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Review the work schedule and prepare for duties
• Use repair manuals and tools to troubleshoot equipment
• Perform necessary safety checks and inspections
• Use miscellaneous resources and computers to reference parts and enter data into record systems
• Climb up onto, under, and into vehicles to disassemble and reassemble parts or equipment
• Replace pumps, batteries, radiators, bearings, seals, wiring, solenoids, fuel lines, nozzles, and test float valves
• Use meters, measuring devices, and computers to test and recalibrate equipment
