H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Discipline Engineer in our Water/Wastewater Discipline to join our team in our Melville, NY office.

Requirements

Lead projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
Manage projects from planning to design and construction of water/wastewater distribution and conveyance systems.
Prepare construction documents/specifications and handle engineering services during construction.
Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.
Develop medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
Prepare complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of Water/Wastewater projects.
Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules and will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
Supervise and support the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff.
