H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Discipline Engineer in the Water/Wastewater Discipline to join our team in our Westchester, NY office. In this role, you will independently complete complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, and other activities requiring the knowledge of standard engineering principles and techniques.
Requirements
- 10 - 15 years' experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal Water/Wastewater
- Bachelors' degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Experience in process design, treatment plants upgrades and pump station design
- Client relationship skills: including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment
- Active in technical societies and trade organizations associated with Water/Wastewater (AWWA, WEF, ASCE, NGWA, etc)
- Strong data analysis and technical problem solving
- Willingness to develop competence in a broad array of engineering related tasks
- Ability to train and mentor junior level staff
- Successful track record of proposal writing and development
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- P.E. required
- PMP is a nice to have
