Job Description
HackerRank is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend/platform engineering and experience with cloud platforms, containers, and distributed systems. The role involves designing and evolving core platforms, embedding AI as a first-class concern, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Backend/platform engineer with over 8 years of experience
- Strong system design and distributed systems skills
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containers & Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD automation
- Depth in one or more of Go, Java, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
- Proficient with Postgres/MySQL and NoSQL databases
- Excellent communicator with clear documentation and explanation skills
