Job Description
Halo Industries is seeking a Laser Process Application Engineer / Senior Laser Process Engineer to develop and optimize laser-based processes for material processing and micromachining. The ideal candidate has a strong background in physics, applied physics, laser optics, mechanical engineering, or material science and experience with laser materials processing and micromachining.
Requirements
- Recent PhD or BS/MS with 1-5 years of industrial work experience in Physics, Applied Physics, Laser Optics, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science
- Understanding of optical physics fundamentals and laser materials processing
- Experience with laser micromachining applications such as ablation, surface structuring, and multi-photon absorption
- Strong hands-on skills in designing and conducting experiments and analyzing results
- Proficiency in working in an interdisciplinary team environment
