Staff Laser Process / Applications Engineer

Halo Industries, Inc. is seeking a Staff Laser Process / Applications Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge laser-based wafer manufacturing and processing systems.

Requirements

• PhD with > 3 years of industrial work experience (or BS / MS with >5 years of work experience) in Physics, Applied Physics, Laser Optics, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science
• Deep understanding of the fundamentals of laser-material interaction and laser materials processing
• Strong hands-on skills in the design and conducting of laser material processing experiments and analyzing results
• Experience with laser process development and equipment design
• Experience with optical system design, beam shaping and focusing
• Experience with DOE (design of experiments), data collection and data analysis (e.g. JMP, SQL, MATLAB, Python)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency to work well in an interdisciplinary team environment, collaborating with electrical and control engineers and materials experts
