Job Description
Referral Specialist responsible for performing duties associated with patients being referred by their primary care physicians to specialists or institutions for additional health care. Ensures referrals are made for patients within 24 hours of receipt of paperwork from the provider.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Some college preferred
- Two years clerical experience with strong secretarial/computer skills
- One year experience as clinical support in a health care setting
- Proven knowledge of Medicaid and managed care insurance programs
