A nuclear technology company is seeking a Component Design Engineer to create design solutions for advanced reactor structures and components. This role focuses on rotatable plug assembly equipment design.

Requirements

• Design reactor structures and components from requirements through final design
• Coordinate inputs from engineering and project teams to develop design solutions
• Perform scoping analysis and calculations for design options and alternatives
• Interface with team engineering analysis activities and provide design results for reviews
• Assess technical merit of solutions provided by team members; lead design reviews
• Interface with equipment suppliers for design and fabrication issue resolution
• Support continuous learning and application of nuclear industry best practices
