Job Description
The Core Thermal Hydraulics Engineer / Analyst will support the development of thermal-hydraulic methodologies, reactor core analysis, and design activities for an advanced liquid metal-cooled reactor program.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or another relevant technical engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal-hydraulic analysis with a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years with a master’s or Ph.D., along with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical work.
- 8+ years of experience in nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic behavior and analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advanced liquid metal-cooled nuclear reactor core design and thermal-hydraulic analysis using subchannel analysis software such as SE2-ANL, COBRA, or VIPRE.
- Strong understanding of uncertainty quantification, verification, and validation.
- Strong communication skills.
- High degree of trust and integrity, with the ability to communicate openly, work respectfully with others, and foster teamwork.
