Hansell Tierney is partnering with an innovative aerospace engineering organization to identify a Fluid System Design Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and fluid subsystem component design and will evaluate a broad range of technical data to support propulsion development.
Requirements
- Contribute to development, build, and testing of propulsion flight and ground hardware
- Perform structural, fluid, and thermal analysis of components and assemblies
- Create and maintain component and assembly drawings for flight and ground test hardware
- Develop and maintain work instructions for installation of hardware onto vehicles
- Assist in integration of components and assemblies onto aircraft and ground systems
- Order materials and components as needed
- Test propulsion components or assemblies in preparation for integrated subsystem testing
- Develop engineering tools as required to complete tasks
- Maintain inventory tracking of critical propulsion components
- Manage supplier relationships with key vendors
- Oversee clean room operations and technical integrity
- Manage engineering release schedule in coordination with shop planning
- Track vehicle propulsion configuration
- Review and release drawings, work instructions, analysis reports, and other engineering documentation
- Provide regular updates to the Propulsion Lead
- Support integration of complex aerospace systems
- Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and follow-through
