Licensed Practical Nurse

Provides direct and individual nursing care to assigned residents, maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, and implements plan of care formulated by physician and DRC.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited program for LPN/LVN and currently registered in the state of the community
• Valid Continuing Education credits as required by the state of the community
• Training in Alzheimer and Dementia with focus on Validation Therapy
• Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a health care facility
• Experience in a long term care community and/or geriatric nursing facility preferred
• Experience in emergency care and first-aid
• Effective communication skills with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
• Microsoft Office and Outlook software experience preferred
• Independent decision-making and ability to seek out new methods
• Passion to work with and around senior citizens
• Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
