Senior Technical Documentation Engineer

Harness is seeking a Senior Technical Documentation Engineer to own high-quality documentation across complex feature areas, partner with engineering and product teams, and drive the evolution of documentation standards and practices.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in technical documentation, developer documentation, or product documentation.
• Proven experience in independently owning documentation for complex features or product areas.
• Strong ability to understand technical systems and translate them into clear, structured, and user-focused documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to explain both how something works and why it matters in real-world use cases.
• Experience working closely with engineers and product managers to gather and validate technical information.
• Strong written communication skills with a focus on clarity, structure, and usability.
• Solid experience working in a docs-as-code environment, including Git-based contribution and review workflows.
• Strong working knowledge of Git, version control concepts, and Markdown.
• Comfortable using task tracking systems such as JIRA to manage documentation work and align with product delivery.
