Job Description
Harness is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop a unified data platform to serve multiple product modules. This role involves data streaming, transformation, and managing large-scale data storage, contributing to the company's mission to deliver reliable, efficient, secure, and quickly-scalable software delivery solutions. The platform is the foundation for multiple experiences within the company including dashboard, analytics, and product utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science
- 7-12 years of hands-on experience in backend software development
- Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines with SQLMesh, DBT, or Spark Structured Streaming
- Experience with query engines like Trino
- Deep exposure to OLAP stores like Pinot, Druid, Clickhouse, StarRocks, Snowflake, or Databricks
- Experience with open table architecture such as Iceberg, Delta Lake or Hudi
- Experience with data streaming technologies like Flink, Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams etc
- Familiarity with OLTP datastores such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Working experience with Java and Python
