PumpMan, a Harrington Company, is seeking a Pump Service Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing pumps, electric motors, valves, and related mechanical equipment for water and wastewater systems. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 7+ years of plumbing and electric background, and experience in all facets of the plumbing trade.
Requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair all types of centrifugal pumps
- Inspect, modify, maintain, repair, and install pumps, electric motors, valves, and related mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair pressure reducing valves, sewage ejector pumps, pump controls, and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair common electrical issues
- Program and modify existing programming on variable frequency drives
- Undertake projects including complete system replacement, circuit design, piping and system layout
- Respond to emergency situations
- Perform Planned Maintenance, inspect pump systems, and make recommendations for repairs or replacements
- Maintain truck tools, safety equipment, instruments, and materials
- Operate various equipment and hand and power tools
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies, and the public
- Supervise and manage workflow and project timeline for crews on projects
- Write detailed diagnostic reports for customers and estimating staff
- Train technicians and helpers to elevate overall competency of pumpman field staff
