Requirements

• Direct supervision of three or less warehouse/driver associates
• Participates in hiring process and formal performance evaluations
• Approve timecards, create schedules as necessary
• Ensuring the warehouse is secure, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and ensuring their safe use
• Following federal, state, and local regulations for warehousing, shipping, and material handling
• Creating systems for organization and communication and ensuring efficient space utilization
• Maintaining health and safety standards, safety training certifications and ensuring the safety of staff
• Read customer orders to determine items to be gathered and distributed
• Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage areas
• Sort and place materials or items on racks or other storage areas according to predetermined sequence
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in boxes
• Convey orders to staging areas and/or onto trucks for delivery
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Record amount of materials or items received and distributed
• Perform data entry of records into the computer
• Complete requisition forms to order materials from other company locations
• Prepare parcels for mail
• Perform physical counts of existing inventory and maintains inventory records
• Act as back-up when delivery driver is unavailable
