Project Manager - 6 Month Contract

Role Overview

A 6-month contract project manager role is available for a software development company. The role involves coordinating components of utility CIS software implementation projects, maintaining project plans and timelines, and providing clear communication to stakeholders. The position can be performed remotely or from the office in Winooski, VT, with travel up to 75% possible. The company is a division of Harris and is headquartered in Winooski, VT.

What You Will Do

Coordinate project components, maintain project plans and timelines, identify and report issues, provide clear communication and regular updates, assist in monitoring project budgets, track and report on project status, timelines, and financials, and participate in client-facing discussions.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in project management or a related role
• Experience in managing project budgets ranging from $10k to over $2.5M
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Spira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Clarizen
• Basic understanding of Waterfall project management; exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus
• Experience tracking project financials or budgets is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks with guidance
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on learning and delivering results
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional groups such as Sales, R&D, and Delivery
