Job Description
Haymarket Center is seeking Outreach Specialists for 2nd and 3rd shifts on the transit trains and buses. The role involves outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance use, conducting screenings, creating service plans, and connecting them with resources. This position relies on motivational interviewing and data documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with homeless, substance use and mental health populations
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Ability to calmly respond to emergencies
- Comfortable working with persons experiencing homelessness
- Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to operate a van
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
