Job Description
Hays Electrical Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team to help manage and process payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
- Prepare and process weekly/biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees, including hourly, salary, and jobsite-based staff.
- Review and validate timecards, ensuring all job codes, cost centers, and classifications are correct.
- Coordinate with jobsite supervisors and managers to resolve time entry discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
- Process adjustments, garnishments, deductions, and reimbursements accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll tax compliance (federal, state, and local) and keep up with changes to wage/tax laws and assist with certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, local/state requirements).
- Assist with maintenance of timekeeping hardware (Kiosk Mode, geofencing, etc.).
