Job Description
HDR is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services group in our Kentucky/Tennessee area. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will design and plan production on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects, including site planning and layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering infrastructure activities.
Requirements
- Design and plan production on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects
- Prepare specifications and contract documents, and costs estimates
- Advance permitting requirements
- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
- Function both independently and within HDR project teams
- Plan, organize and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed
- Serve as a Project Manager on larger projects
- Be responsible for client management and program development within the Civil Section
- Understand HDR’s work-sharing mentality regarding other offices in the region
- Perform other duties as needed
