Job Description
HDR seeks a Senior Noise Specialist to be a technical expert in environmental acoustics, resolve complex problems, and lead acoustical and vibration assessments. The role involves project planning, staff management, and client satisfaction, with a focus on environmental noise and architectural acoustics. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in acoustical analysis and leadership skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS, and state-of-the-art software for noise and vibration analysis. The role requires an attitude and commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Math, Physics, or closely related field
- 10 or more years of experience in acoustical analysis
- Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment
- Familiarity of local clients and markets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with GIS and GPS
- Proficiency with state-of-the-art software used to process and analyze noise and vibration measurement data
- Familiar with relevant ISO and related acoustical standards
- Familiar with current guidance documents for acoustical analyses (FHWA, FTA, FRA, UFC, etc)
