Job Description
The Bilingual Child and Family Educator will conduct weekly home visits to provide health, nutrition, and child development education to pregnant women, children, and their families. The educator will implement an individualized curriculum to prepare children for school and provide guidance and assistance in planning and participating in parent/child group socializations.
Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Infant and Toddler Caregivers or an equivalent credential
- Associate Degree in child development, early childhood education or social services related field
- Experience providing direct service to low income families with multiple biopsychosocial risks
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work alone and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Mature personality including adaptability/flexibility, non-judgmental, resourceful, energetic, dependable, friendly and confident
