Job Description
Health Images at Denver Tech Center is seeking a Full-Time Mammography Technologist II to perform routine and diagnostic exams relating to breast anatomy, breast ultrasound, and bone density. The ideal candidate will have two plus years' experience in Mammography, Breast Ultrasound, and Bone Density, as well as a graduate degree from an accredited Registered Technologist program and current certifications.
Requirements
- Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions/explanation of the procedure and/or exam
- Provide patient education on breast self-examination as needed
- Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent
- Screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtain prior imaging as needed and perform high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation
- Perform Bone Density, Breast Ultrasound, and Mammography exams
- Maintain and regularly inspect equipment and immediately report any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies
- Interface with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns
