XRAY Technologist

Heath Images at Church Ranch is seeking a full-time X-ray Technologist to join our team. Performs various types of diagnostic X-ray procedures, adjusts X-ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage/exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Requirements

• Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions/explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
• Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
