Chiropodist

Health Sciences North is seeking a Chiropodist to assess, treat, and prevent foot disorders in high-risk diabetes patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a three (3) year Diploma in Chiropody, from an accredited college and current Certificate of Registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (CCO).

Requirements

• Minimum of a three (3) year Diploma in Chiropody, from an accredited college
• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (CCO)
• Certification in injection and aspiration techniques, soft tissue surgical procedures, and Pharmacology
• Successful completion of a Diabetes Education and Care program or a designation as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
• Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in an Inpatient or Outpatient department within a health care environment
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with high-risk diabetes patients
