Health Sciences North is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in a fast-paced, team environment and provide client-centered care to individuals with severe and persistent physical and/or mental illness. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Experience working with people who have severe and persistent physical and/or mental illness
- Knowledge of typical and atypical anatomy/neuroanatomy, physiology/neurophysiology, social sciences, and development across the lifespan
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
