HealthOPM is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join their team at a Long-Term Care facility in the Aurora area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing quality care and have experience working with the Chinese community.
Requirements
- Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Gentle Persuasion Approaches to Dementia Care (GPA) are assets
- Excellent teamwork and effective communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure
- High interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in medication administration an asset
- Willingness to update and keep current their knowledge of changing regulations, practices and procedures
- Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required
- TB testing is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
