Job Description
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Surgical Tech (CST) to join our surgical team. The Surgical Tech will practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse and demonstrate practical knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
Requirements
- Certification through one of the following Surgical Technologist Certification Programs: CST, NCCT, or existing applicants who are already employed by Methodist OR and are exempt from Certification requirements
- Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
