Requirements

• Certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Certification Programs: CST (NBSTSA) or NCCT
• Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
• Currently validated CPR skills preferred
• Post-secondary education preferred
