Purchasing & Quality Control Coordinator role supports both Purchasing and Quality functions by coordinating mill orders and releases, verifying incoming material, and preparing customer-required certifications.
Requirements
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service mindset.
- Strong math skills and comfort working with tolerances, gauges, and dimensions.
- Ability to read purchase orders/work orders and research inquiries or problems independently.
- Independent decision-making with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of steel grades and dimensions; steel service center and/or manufacturing knowledge preferred.
- Computer literacy required; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Shipping/Receiving experience helpful; quality/certifications experience a plus.
- Ability to follow written instructions on work orders and SOPs.
