Job Description
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role is a key position that involves supporting and supervising the nursing team, making clinical calls, ensuring quality care, and playing a key role in quality assurance, surveys, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will be a seasoned RN with 3+ years of experience as an ADON in long-term care, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a passion for providing the best care possible.
Requirements
- Nursing degree from an accredited school (RN required!)
- Valid RN license in the state of Illinois (or ability to get one, stat!)
- 3+ years of experience as an ADON in long-term care
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in skilled, acute, restorative, or geriatric care
- MDS, care planning, and regulatory processes knowledge
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Tech-savvy enough to run reports, enter data
