Job Description
The Emergency Medical Technician will support California's Medicaid 1115 JI Reentry Initiative by managing the enrollment of eligible justice-involved individuals into a State-administered screening and enrollment program.
Requirements
- Be responsible for the enrollment of clients into a state program
- Provide patient care functions
- Manage a list of Medi-Cal eligible patients
- Interact and educate patients
- Timely documentation into databases
- Act as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Carry patients in stretchers and wheels patients in stretchers or wheelchairs
- May be deployed as part of a triage team, deliver equipment and supplies, and/or establish communications at health facilities as needed in case of major emergency or disaster
- Check and replenish first aid kit, emergency patient care equipment, and linen supplies
