R&D Engineer Nitinol Tube Drawing (m/f/d)

We are looking for an R&D Engineer to work on the development and optimization of processes for the production and further processing of Nitinol tubes for medical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in project engineering, technology and process development, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, medical technology or related fields
• Extensive professional expertise as a project engineer in technology and process development, preferably in a regulated environment (medical devices and their quality requirements)
• In-depth expertise in the development and production of tubes or other semi-finished products made of Nitinol, including comprehensive knowledge of the relevant plant technology
• Experience with upstream and downstream methods such as deep hole drilling, heat treatment, shape setting, surface treatment (e.g. electropolishing)
• Hands-on experience with various project management methods and the use of corresponding tools such as Six Sigma and DOE
• Excellent written and spoken English, relevant for communication with the global Medevio organization and our international customers
