Principal Engineer - QA

The Principal Engineer - QA role at HPE is a hybrid position that involves leading the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for the HPE Hybrid Cloud, with a focus on quality and testing. The role requires technical leadership, software testing methodology, and automation expertise, with a strong background in programming in Python.

Requirements

• Providing technical leadership on Quality front by enabling the team technically and ensuring quality is built into the product
• Knowledge of complete SDLC and experience in software testing methodology, tools, developing test strategy, test planning, test execution, and test automation
• Strong automation background to be able to own automation strategy and tools required to enhance a test automation framework
• Proficiency in programming in Python
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of tools and processes for functional, regression, scale testing
• Ability to collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team
• Mentor QA engineers on testing techniques, automation, and coding best practices
• Conduct code reviews for test scripts and automation frameworks
• Participate in design and architecture reviews to identify quality risks
• Identify technical and quality risks early in the development lifecycle
• Drive a shift-left and shift-right testing mindset
• Partner with developers, DevOps, and product managers to embed quality early
• Act as the quality voice in technical discussions
