Principal Engineer - QA

Principal Engineer - QA will provide technical leadership on Quality front by enabling the team technically and ensuring quality is built into the product. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Requirements

• Providing technical leadership on Quality front by enabling the team technically and ensuring quality is built into the product
• Knowledge of complete SDLC and experience in software testing methodology, tools, developing test strategy, test planning, test execution, and test automation.
• Strong automation background to be able to own automation strategy and tools required to enhance a test automation framework.
• Proficiency in programming in Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of tools and processes for functional, regression, scale testing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team
• Mentor QA engineers on testing techniques, automation, and coding best practices
• Conduct code reviews for test scripts and automation frameworks
• Participate in design and architecture reviews to identify quality risks
• Identify technical and quality risks early in the development lifecycle
• Drive a shift-left and shift-right testing mindset
• Partner with developers, DevOps, and product managers to embed quality early
• Act as the quality voice in technical discussions
