Job Description
Regional Health and Safety Manager-West is responsible for supporting execution of Hexion's strategic and tactical plan for Health and Safety matters for the five manufacturing sites in the Western half of NA. The position requires a strong understanding of regulatory and tactical overlap of Environmental, Health, Safety and Process Safety regulations for the U.S. and Canada.
Requirements
- 7+ years in chemical or related manufacturing with a record of advancement to H&S responsibilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of requirements of U.S. and Canadian H&S regulations
- Previous involvement with Process Safety Management regulated facilities
- Experience participating in restructuring and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to drive change through people leadership and capability building
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Strong understanding of business processes and change management principles
