English and Spanish Speaking Medical Interpreter

The Medical Interpreter will assist bilingual patients in healthcare settings, bridging the communication gap between Spanish-speaking consumers and clinicians. Responsibilities include front desk duties, BH service visits, case management, patient transport, and culturally informed care. Interpreter will also act as a cultural liaison and participate in community outreach.

Requirements

• Native Spanish-speaking proficiency
• At least 2 years experience interpreting between Spanish and English in a health care setting
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record
• Cultural understanding of the local Latino population
• Bachelor’s degree and nursing background preferred
