A Kitchen Trainee is responsible for supporting in delivering an excellent Guest experience by assisting in the preparation of food and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Requirements
- Ensure all food preparation areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Support the kitchen team in basic food preparation tasks
- Maintain a high profile during service while being proactive and helpful
- Follow instructions from chefs and senior kitchen staff, anticipating their requirements
- Keep your section clean and organised at all times
- Ensure all equipment and utensils are used and stored correctly
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as required
- React promptly and deal with any spillages or breakages
- Communicate any issues
- Support with cleaning duties and ensure compliance with food safety standards
