Hire Resolve is assisting legal organisations in hiring experienced legal professionals for multiple mid–senior level opportunities across a range of practice areas and in-house functions within the Netherlands.
Requirements
- Master of Laws (LLM) or equivalent legal degree is typical for many legal roles in the Netherlands
- Admission to the Dutch Bar (Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten) is required for advocaat roles where practising rights apply
- Typically 5–12+ years of progressive legal experience (in-house and/or private practice), aligned to mid–senior level scope
- Demonstrated capability in one or more areas such as commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, regulatory, disputes, compliance, privacy/GDPR, or legal operations
- Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and risk-based judgement
- Familiarity with relevant tools and systems (where applicable), including document management, contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter management, e-billing, and Microsoft 365
- Professional fluency in English is required for many international organisations; Dutch is often preferred or required depending on stakeholder environment and documentation
- Ability to manage competing deadlines, work independently, and handle sensitive information with discretion
