Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee the general ledger and trial balance, ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting standards, and support internal and external audits. They will also perform the monthly close process, review and approve balance sheet account reconciliations, and coordinate close activities to meet reporting close deadlines. The role will also involve enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls consistently across the entity, promoting accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years of general accounting experience, Percentage of Completion method preferred
• Proven ability to enforce policies while maintaining positive business relationships
• Strong leadership abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective organizational skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a large, multi-entity organization - preferred
• IFRS and JSOX experience - preferred
• Tax experience (Corporate/Sales/Use) - preferred
• ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Epicor, or similar) - preferred
• Proficient user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. - preferred
