Job Description
Hive is a leading provider of cloud-based AI solutions. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join our team and contribute to the development of our AI company. The ideal candidate has experience building scalable web applications, designing and implementing highly-available distributed systems, and working with relational databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with building scalable web applications
- Experience or a strong interest in writing applications in Node.js
- Experience designing and implementing highly-available distributed systems/microservices
- Experience building platforms that expose scalable backend APIs
- Deep experience working with relational databases, Postgres preferred
- Understanding monitoring and alerting platforms is a plus
- Strongly believe in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Attention to detail and a passion for correctness
- Comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bias towards action
