Software Engineer

Hiya is making calls safe, useful, and human again by analyzing 28+ billion calls, protecting over 550 million users and 800+ businesses worldwide. We're looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and own the backend services and mobile integrations that power our two consumer mobile applications: Hiya AI Phone and Hiya Spam Blocker.

Requirements

• Experience shipping Node.js services in production environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services (deployment, scaling, monitoring)
• Experience building backend systems that serve mobile applications
• Familiarity with iOS and/or Android development—enough to collaborate effectively on SDK integration and debug platform-specific issues
• Ability to design and operate services with high availability and low latency requirements
• Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with distributed teams (Seattle and London)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development techniques and workflows
