Legal Counsel, Office of Council and Court Secretariat and Legal

Provide legal and compliance support to the University on institution-wide matters and operations, including governance, risk management and regulatory compliance. Assist the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel in preparing legal advice and reviewing contracts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience in reputable law firms or inhouse legal team of large institutions or companies
• Experience in and knowledge of general corporate legal matters and/or intellectual property laws would be an advantage
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua)
• Good IT literacy
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong communication skills in providing quality legal services
• Attentive to details, highly organised, able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with strong self-motivation and quality of a team player
