The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, tooling, and techniques to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. This role applies lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to enhance workflows, eliminate waste, and increase productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Three or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or quality engineering required
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, sheet metal, coatings, or assembly
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes, tools, manufacturing, and operations, and asset acquisition
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering techniques
- Solid knowledge of engineering techniques and CAD software
- Ability to accurately read and interpret detailed and complex drawing information to develop time sensitive component set-ups in addition to actual process
- Computer and related software knowledge and/or experience and the ability to learn/use new computer programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and SQL / Access databases
