Job Description
Horizon Eye Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to assist Ophthalmologists and Optometrists with medical histories, preliminary eye function testing, and patient care. The position requires reviewing patient charts, performing initial exams, and assisting with minor surgeries. The Ophthalmic Assistant will also be responsible for administrative tasks and maintaining the physical environment of workup and exam rooms.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years of experience if not certified through JCAHPO
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician through JCAHPO
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
