We have a rare opportunity for a Lab Administration Research Technician to join the King Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. The King lab seeks to understand the genetic, genomic, and cellular foundations of animal origins. The Lab Administrative Research Technician will provide administrative and technical support to the Investigator and laboratory staff in the King Lab at UC Berkeley.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences, or a related field.
- One or more years of related laboratory and administrative support experience.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques, including sterile technique and basic molecular biology (e.g., PCR).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively with a diverse research community.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to learn new software applications and laboratory techniques.
- Ability to keep accurate and thorough records of work performed.
