We are seeking a Research Technician II to join Dr. Barbara J. Meyer's lab at the University of California, Berkeley. The lab investigates mechanisms of cell-fate determination, genome editing, and chromosome structure and chromatin modification in gene regulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related discipline
- 1-2 years of previous hands-on laboratory experience
- Strong understanding of molecular biology and eukaryotic genetics
- Previous hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and genetic analysis
- Previous experience with C. elegans genetics, computational analysis of genomics and imaging data
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills, prioritization skills, time management skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills, including programming in Python and R
