Job Description
Western Power Pool is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to join their remote team in select states. The ideal candidate is a collaborative accounting professional with experience in utilities accounting and FERC reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- FERC regulatory reporting experience (required)
- Ability to navigate utility-specific account coding
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
