Mobile Diesel Technician Level 3

The Fleet technician 3 will diagnose, adjust and repair all series of class 8 tractor and trailing fleet equipment. Essential job functions include diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. The technician must also perform preventive maintenance services, repair tires, and maintain work area appearance and safety.

Requirements

• 4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational / Technical or certification preferred
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills
• Expert understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards and industry practices
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
• OEM training courses required (FRTL or INTL)
• ASE Certification preferred
• 608/609 certifications preferred
• Clean MVR required and able to operate service truck preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Willingness to travel for training
• Must have own tools (hand and pneumatic) sufficient to do any job that is required
