The Specialist, Corporate Development role supports the team by identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities consistent with Hudbay's strategy. This high-visibility role contributes to the analysis that informs executive decision-making and investment recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mining Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, or MBA) are highly regarded
- 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a financial analyst role within the mining industry
- Advanced expertise in Excel-based financial modeling and preparation of presentations in PowerPoint
- Demonstrated proficiency in DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis
- Ability to maintain and ensure the integrity of Corporate Development databases
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish will be considered an asset
