Humber River Health is seeking a Biomedical Technologist to work in their Biomedical department. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment, and will work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Community College Biomedical Engineering Technologist program, or Graduate of a Community College Electronic Technologist Program
- Two years of hospital biomedical technology experience
- CBET Certification is an Asset
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing and available to attend manufacturer's training courses
- Good command of the English Language (both verbal and written) required
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, a communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 35 kg’s)
- Ability to work in fast pace environment
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
- Candidate will be expected to obtain CBET certifications within 3 years from hiring
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
- A valid Ontario driver’s license required for travel between all hospital sites
- An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset
